This is the ninth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits. I would recommend this project for a —— beginner, who wants to do more than just stamping and wants to add layers to their cards.
The dimensions & equipment used are as follows:
The notebooks I used were 2 different sizes, 3″ x 4″ and 8 & a quarter” x 3″
Lets look at the first notebook which is the smaller size, the cover which is Blueberry Bushel needs to measure 6″ x 3 and 1 sixteenth” your allowing for a 1 and a quarter” flap. The Whisper White mat needs to measure 3″ x 3″
The larger notebook, which is Lovely Lipstick your cover needs to be 10.5″ x 3 & 1 sixteenth”.
Use your score board to measure and score at 1 and a quarter inches, and then score again for the thickness of your notebook so that the cover fits flush over the spine.
Using the 2″ punch, punch a hole into the cover, (you can stick a 2″ guide to make sure you line it up properly)
Using the bird stamp, stamp one in Lovely Lipstick and the other in Blueberry Bushell onto whisper white card stock.
Its time to use the big shot now, cut around the birds you have just stamped. We also need to punch out 2 banners onto whisper white, 5 blueberry bushel leaves, 5 Lovely Lipstick leaves, 2 blueberry Bushell Flowers and 2 Lovely Lipstick Flower,
Working with your whisper white mat, which measures 3″ x 3″ you then need to arrange and stick down the 5 sets of leaves onto it vertically. once this is done put glue around the edge (on the front) of your whisper white mat and stick it to the back of your cover, making sure it is lined up on the back.
Once this is done, stick the flowers around the edge of your circle onto the front cover, so that it overlaps on to the white and the colour.
then stamp your sentiment onto the banners, using the same colour ink as the card you have used. I used the “For Everything” sentiment.
Using 2 dimensionals on each end of the banners, and a dimensional on the back of your birds, and stick them onto the front of the notebook.
Use your TomBow glue, to glue the flap to the back of your notebook and leave to set.
I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!
Pop over again soon
