Day 23 – Petal Palette Showcase – Best Wishes Card

For a full tutorial, head over to my YouTube Channel – even better subscribe so your alerted to the new projects I cover.

This is the twenty third and final project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits.

Day 23

The colours I am using are Basic Grey & Blushing bride.

Using your trimmer, cut your blushing bride card stock 4″ x 6″ pink, and your basic grey card stock 4.5″ x 6.5″ this gives you the base of your card and creates a lovely border around the edge.

Using the basic grey ink, and the best wishes stamp, continuously stamp across the pink piece of card, you going to do this all the way across and all the way down. stagger the stamp so that you make a lovely pattern.

Use the email adhesive to stick your pick card to the grey card.

Stamp a little bird using basic grey ink onto blushing bride card stock. Use the big shot and the petals and more thinlits to cut out your bird, you will also need to cut out a Celtic banner in basic grey and a plain banner in whisper white. use the piercing tool to remove the Celtic banner from its die, as it can be a bit tricky.

Onto the whisper white banner, stamp “Best Wishes” in blushing bride.

Cut out a 2″ circle in basic grey and your all ready for assembly.

Using the tombow glue, stick the Celtic banner across the bottom of the card, then with dimensionals, stick a couple of them to the bird attach this to the grey circle, so that the tail overhangs slightly, then stick the circle to the card with dimensionals overlapping the Celtic banner. Then all thats left is the best wishes banner, so 2 more dimensionals one on each end and stick it over the Celtic banner.

Stick it all to a card base and bobs your uncle!

I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

I used the big shot to die cut the little flower x 5, one of the smaller flower bundle and then one of the larger flower bundle, and I cut this out of the the garden impressions designer series paper. I cut out a banner in plain berry burst card stock.

If you press the little flowers into the palm of you hand with the wrong end of your piercing tool, this technique lifts the petal up and adds dimension to the flowers. I then added glitter enamel dots to the centre of the flowers, to make it look like the centre of the flowers.

I then stamped “Thank you” in berry burst onto the banner we cut out earlier. I then put a hole into the banner using the trio punch.

Take the lid off the candle, I then wrapped 30cms of the 1/8″ silver ribbon around the neck of the candle,  I measured 40cms of the silver bakers twine and threaded that through the leaves of the cut out embellishments we cut out, then the thank you banner, and then wrapped that around the neck of the jar and tied in a pretty little bow.

I cut out a 2″ circle in berry burst, I stuck this to the lid using 2 dimensionals. then added 5 glue dots in random positions to stick my mini flowers to, lifted up the petals again to make them stand up.

I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

Day 21 – Petal Palette Showcase – Gift Card Holders

This is the twentieth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits.

IMG_5750

This project was inspired by Kaye at papercraftskies.co.uk, I am using the Garden Impressions designer series paper, and the paper you need measures 6″ x 4″ and then I scored along the short edge, 1/2″ and 3 and 1/2″ along the long edge, score at 2. Fold across the short side. the 2 long rectangles that you have scored need to be cut out. Take a wedge out of the flaps so that when you fold it over, the paper sits flush.

Glue to flaps with tombow glue, fold and stick.

On the top of the tag, to make it look like a luggage tag, singly grid paper I have just measured 3 squared and marked it with a pencil, along the top and down the side. use you scissors, cut the corners off between the 2 pencil marks you have just made.

I then used the trio punch to make a hole for my ribbon along the top, between the 2 corners you have just cut out.

For the sentiment, I punched out a 2 and 1/2″ circle in calypso coral and a 2″ circle in whisper white, and I stamped “Life is so much better with you in it” onto the 2″ circle in calypso coral ink.

Stick the circles on top of each other using dimensionals, and then stick it to the front flap of the tag, with another couple of dimensionals.

I added a couple of embellishments from the Best route enamel shapes, to the circle I had stamped onto.

Add the accenting ribbon, I measured 15cms which is a nice length to pull it through itself.

What a gorgeous little tag, to make it I used the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper, and I cut this 2″ x 4″ I also used a piece of vellum that measured 2″ x 4″. I used the tag punch at the top of both pieces and then rounded the corners that were left.

I used versa mark ink to stamp the sporty design vertically down the right hand side of the vellum, and best wishes vertically again down the leg thank side. I sprinkles gold embossing powder over the vellum, and shook off the excess powder. I then used the heat gun to heat emboss the powder – The effect it simply stunning on vellum!

Using 15cms of the 1/8″ gold ribbon, I thread it through both of the tags, and back through itself.

I then added 3 black sequins form the assorted sequin pack with a little bit of tom bow.

I love how the gold is picked out on both pieces – GORGEOUS!

Day 19 – Petal Palette Showcase – Paperclips

This is the nineteenth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits.

IMG_5734

I stamped the little bird, the large flower bundle, the smaller flower bundle and the individual flower onto whisper white with basic grey.

I then used the big shot to cut out my stamped images, as well as another set of die cuts which are left plan fr the reverse of the paperclips.

I then used my blender pens to colour in the flowers, leaves and the bird. I coloured in the flowers in real red, the leaves in garden green and the bird in soft suede with a real red belly!

I then used dimensionals to attach my paperclips to the stamps. Putting a dimensional on the plain side, inside the paperclip and one outside to stop it from moving around, then I put my coloured in stamp in the top and hey presto! A gorgeous decorative paperclip! Perfect for travellers notebooks, or to make organising more fun!

With facebook and social media, no-one prints out photographs like we used to in the olden days.

The notebook in this video I show you my travellers notebook from Websters Pages. I use this for memory keeping (the modern version of scrap booking)

The mini printer I use is a HP Sprocket, and I bought it from Amazon. It prints mini photographs on the go and they are stickers so easy to add to your notebook  – I just love it!

I used gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo cardstock, and I stamped onto whisper white with basic grey. I can colour these in on the go when I get more time.

I then used the big shot to cut out some of the dies, and used them to decorate around my photos.

I also have a stash of foil stickers that look stunning and really add some bling to my spread.

if you haven’t got a travellers notebook already, get in touch, I have a selection of colours available, and am more than happy to help; you set it all up in gorgeousness!

Day 17 – Petal Palette Showcase – Notebook & Envelopes

For a full tutorial, head over to my YouTube Channel – even better subscribe so your alerted to the new projects I cover.

This is the seventeenth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits. I would recommend this project for a beginner who wants to add a new dimension to their cards.

The dimensions & equipment used are as follows:

Jotter pads are from the range – 4 for £1 – BARGAIN

Measure 9.25 x 6″ in Basic Black card stock, then score the card at 4.5″ and 4.75″ along the long edge.

The pocket on the inside 5″ x 3″ and score at half an inch around 3 edges, on the 2 short edges and along one of long edges

Fold and burnish and then cut the corners out of, so that it can close flush onto the card.

In whisper white, measure 2.5 x 3.5″ which is the mat which will sit on top of your flap for the envelopes.

I used white embossing powder to decorate the front of the folder, and back embossing powder in the whisper white inside.

Using versa mark ink, stamp 2 of the rose bundle flower stamps into the corners, sprinkle the white embossing powder and shake to cover the sticky ink, then use the heat gun.

On the whisper white piece of car, stamp again using the versamark ink, the leaf stamp, and sprinkle black embossing powder this time, shake to cover the sticky ink, then use the heat gun.

Cut a 2.5″ circle out of the sparkle glimmer paper, and then a 2″ circle out of basic black, stamp onto the black in versa mark “from the heart” and sprinkle white embossing powder as you have before.

Put tombow glue around the 3 edges of your pocket and stick to the inside front cover.

Put 2 dimensionals onto the black circle and stick it to the glimmer paper, and then 2 dimensionals onto the glimmer per and add to the front cover.

Use tombow glue to stick the whisper white with the leaves to the pocket.

I also used tombow glue to stick the jotter to the inside of the back cover.

For your envelopes, I used basic black card again. The yardstick needs to measure 6.5″ x 6.5″ then using your envelope punchboard, punch and score at 2.75″, then line up with the score line and work your way around all 4 edges. Round the corners that are left. Fold and burnish. Stamp a little flower onto the flap of your envelope with versa mark, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat emboss.

Glue along 2 sides of the envelope and stick together.

I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

Day 15 – Petal Palette Showcase – Z Card

For a full tutorial, head over to my YouTube Channel – even better subscribe so your alerted to the new projects I cover.

This is the fifteenth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits. I would recommend this project for a beginner who wants to add a new dimension to their cards.

IMG_5580

The dimensions & equipment used are as follows:

1 x Card base measuring 10″ x 4- 1/8th” I did this in Mint macaron, score along the ling edge at 5″ and 2.5″

1 x  Petal Pink measuring 4-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ – This sticks onto what would be the inside of your card

I used blushing bride ink to stamp onto these before sticking it to the card, I used the decorative spots stamp across the bottom, and the small flowers in the top corners, and used the the “life is so much better with you in it” stamp in the middle.

2 x “Share What You Love” Designer Series Papers measuring 2″ x 3.5″ – stick both of these to the 2 petal pink pieces of card, make sure that you use the reverse side of the DSP on one of them

2 x Petal Pink measuring 2-1/4 x 3-3/4″ – once the DSP has been attached to these, you need to stick on to the small front panel of the card, and one on the adjacent panel behind it.

1 x Petal pink measuring 2.5″ x 2.5″ & 1 x Mint Macaron measuring 2″ x 2″, on the smaller square use the small flower bundle stamp to stamp in blushing bride in a repeating pattern, then stick the smaller square to the larger square.

This square then stick on the front panel of the card, with half hanging over, so ensure you only glue the half that needs to be stuck!

Day 14 – Petal Palette Showcase – Mini Card & Matching Envelope

For a full tutorial, head over to my YouTube Channel – even better subscribe so your alerted to the new projects I cover.

This is the fourteenth project in the “Petal Palette Showcase” which shows you a different project every day for the month of June using only the Petal Palette Stamp Set & Petals & More Thinlits. I would recommend this project for a beginner, because it is just simple stamping and colouring in – but the effect is stunning!

IMG_5579

The dimensions & equipment used are as follows:

For your envelopes you need to measure 5″ x 5″ in whisper white, for your cards measure 4″ x 3.5″ and then score at 2″ on the 4″ side.

Using the envelope punch board, punch and score at 2″, then line the score line up with the score guide, so this on all 4 sides. round the edges of the sharp corners using the punch board, and then fold and burnish the score lines you have just made.

I stamped in Basic Grey, on the inside of the small flap of the envelope and then on the front of the envelope I stamped on the bottom left hand corner.

On the cards I used the “Life is so much better with you in it” stamp, stamped one in the middle of the card, and one on the bottom right hand corner of the second card.

The card with white space on the right, using the same stamp as the envelope and stamp going over the edges. On the card where the sentiment is in the middle, use the longer floral stamp and stamp 3 times in top left hand corner and again on the bottom right hand corner.

I then used the blender pens top colour the flowers in Grapefruit Grove and the leaves in Call Me Clover.

The envelopes then need to be glued, and we are gluing these long ways. so fold the small bottom flap up, add glue and fold a long side in, add more glue and pull the other longer side in to stick.

I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!
